Day 67 of The Big Adventure.
I woke up and mentally made a list of all the things I had to do that day. I had a lot of life admin and preparations to do and only one day in Bangkok to get them done.
I had to buy some practical things for my perhenthians trip so I headed to a hyper market called Big C, where I could find shower gel, Tupperware, a water bottle, a rash vest, and some cheap plain t shirts. A successful trip all in all.
Then headed to MBK to try to get some eyelashes extensions done. I’d searched around for some reviews on tripadvisors and one review raved about somewhere on the 5th floor. After many laps of the 5th floor, it became evident that the shop had closed down. So I wandered over to the food court and had a cheeky burrito. Decided to retry the eyelash thing and had another look on google. Managed to find a seemingly reputable salon that offered it right by Matchbox. Perfect.
Headed over right away and ended up falling asleep while she did it. What else do they expect when they tell you to lie down, keep your eyes closed and put a nice fleecy blanket over you?!
When I woke up she was just doing the final touches. They looked amazing – 100 times better than the ones Lauren and I had got before. I was super happy.
I skipped home to put some laundry on and had a nice long Skype with Mummy Clark – which included a very detailed story about the dramas they were having with the bore hole at home. I decided not to mention that I had no worldly idea what a bore hole was.
Three American boys came and sat in the common area where I was chatting to mummy Clark and I think they may have even got the tail end of the bore hole story – lucky chaps. They were having a beer/whiskey/anything they could find before heading out clubbing.
We had a nice little chat and they showed me their Sia dance routine (don’t ask) and invited me out with them. I politely declined and made my excuses and ended up wandering downstairs to 7eleven for a white and almond magnum.
I had been searching Asia for White magnums for what felt like eternity. It took all my strength not to buy the whole 7eleven freezer full of them.

After an immensely enjoyable ice cream, I decided it was time for bed. Big travel day tomorrow.
