Day 75 of The Big Adventure.
Very very VERY early start. 4.30am alarm.
Sleepily packed up the last of my things and headed out. Sam very kindly offered to give me a lift down to the pier and as we were getting on the bike, Tod arrived home from a night out. Classic Tod.
We raced down to the pier and checked in for my ferry and before I knew it, it was time to go, so said a rather sad goodbye to Sam and was on my way. I thought Sam had gone straight home but when we were about 300m out, I looked back to see his big lions mane waving.
As we sailed away from Koh Tao you could see the sun rise from behind the island – pretty magical view.
I tried my hardest to stay awake on the ferry but the rocking motion was very soothing and I soon found myself involuntarily jerking my head up every so often after I’d fallen asleep. Not fun.
Transferred from the ferry onto a bus to the airport. And then had a couple of hours wait at the airport before my flight to Kuala Lumpur.
The flight to Kuala Lumpur was uneventful and I arrived at around 4pm.
I had booked an amazing little hotel called Capsule, where you basically rent a little capsule with a bed and a charge point and there’s a lounge area and showers and all the things you need for a short stop over.

So I went to check in there and leave my stuff and then I wandered around the airport.
I hadn’t really eaten all day so I very stupidly decided to try a KFC and instantly regretted it.
Then I headed back to my capsule because I was rather sleepy and had a nap. Rookie error.
Woke up at midnight and did not feel sleepy at all. So I got up and had a shower and blow dried my hair (such a luxury) and went out to have a boost juice and some muesli and yoghurt.
Then headed back to my capsule to try and sleep more before my early flight the next morning.
