Sunset Stand up paddle boarding

Day 73 of The Big Adventure.
I had a nice lazy morning pottering around my villa and then headed down into town with the gang to look around some shops.

Many people had been recommending a nice bikini shop called Flipflop and Treacle so Ksenia and I headed in there.

I found a delightful white and pink polka dot bikini and thought why the hell not?!

Then the boys showed up and declared it lunch time so we went to a nice Italian down by the pier. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu. It was all very yummy and a few bottles of wine were consumed and before we knew it, it was 3pm and Sue (Guy and Sam’s mother, Tod’s stepmother) was due to arrive any second.

We all rushed down to the pier and there were lots of hug and kisses and then we bought her back to the restaurant for another glass of wine.

The others decided it was time to head home so Sue could freshen up after her journey. Sam and I decided to go sunset stand up paddle boarding; we got frozen daquiris at a bar on the beach and took them out with us. Sam inevitably fell in, ‘trying to pick up his straw’. A likely story.

After half an hour he had to go in to make some business calls – boooo.

Thankfully, Tod arrived so we sat and had a drink by the bar. We soon decided that this bar was full of wrong’uns and that we should head back to the far more civilised Fizz’s.

We watched the sunset over cocktails and waited for the others to arrive. Bluewater was the chosen restaurant for dinner and it was deeeelicious. More wine and merriment was had and it was a lovely evening.

Then we all headed to fishbowl for an après-dinner drink which ended in Sue being grinded on by a strange man and swiftly leaving. After that many more drinks were consumed and before I knew it we were all rather drunk again.

At 3am I decided enough was enough and it was home time for me. Sam and Tod stayed out until daylight and put me to shame.
